USCIS Case Status
How do I check my immigration case status?
If your application or petition is pending with USCIS, you can check its status online using your receipt number.
- Visit the USCIS website.
- Select "Check Case Status" from the homepage.
- Enter your 13-character receipt number exactly as it appears on your USCIS receipt notice (for example: IOE1234567890 or MSC1234567890).
- Click "Check Status" to view the most recent update on your case.

How do I check my Immigration Court case status?
If you have a pending case before the Immigration Court or the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), you can check your case status online through the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) Automated Case Information System.
- Visit the EOIR Automated Case Information System.
- Enter your A-Number (Alien Registration Number).
- Select your country of nationality from the drop-down menu.
- Click "Submit" to view your case information.
The system may display information such as your next hearing date, the court location, and the current status of your case. Please note that the information provided is for convenience only. Official hearing notices and other documents issued by the Immigration Court or the Board of Immigration Appeals are the official source of information regarding your case.

How do I update my address with USCIS?
If you move, it is important to notify USCIS of your new address as soon as possible. In most cases, non-U.S. citizens are required to report a change of address to USCIS within 10 days of moving.
- Visit the USCIS Change of Address page.
- Submit your new address online using your USCIS online account or complete Form AR-11, Alien's Change of Address Card, if applicable.
- If you have a pending application or petition, be sure to update the address for each pending case (enter individual receipt numbers) to help ensure you continue receiving notices from USCIS.
Important: Updating your address with the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) does not update your address with USCIS. You must notify USCIS directly.
If you have a pending case before the Immigration Court, you may also be required to notify the court of your new address. The appropriate form and filing requirements depend on the stage of your case.

How do I update my address with the Immigration Court?
If you have a pending case before the Immigration Court, you are responsible for notifying the court whenever your address changes. This helps ensure that you receive hearing notices and other important correspondence.
- Visit the EOIR Respondent Access page.
- Complete and submit Form EOIR-33 (Change of Address/Contact Information) online, or download and file the appropriate paper form if required.
- Keep a copy of your confirmation or completed form for your records.
Important: Updating your address with USCIS or the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) does not update your address with the Immigration Court. You must notify each agency separately.
Failure to update your address could result in missing a hearing notice or other important correspondence. Missing a scheduled hearing may have serious consequences, including the possibility of receiving an order of removal in your absence.
