What is the difference between an immigration consultant and an immigration attorney?

An immigration consultant can assist with preparing immigration forms, organizing supporting documents, translating documents, and helping clients understand the application process. Consultants may also provide administrative support and help ensure forms are complete and organized.

An immigration attorney, on the other hand, is licensed to provide legal advice, represent clients in Immigration Court, communicate with USCIS or ICE on a client's behalf in a legal capacity, and develop legal strategies for complex cases.

What services do you provide?

I assist individuals and families with immigration paperwork and document preparation, including:

When should I hire an attorney instead?

Some situations are best handled by an attorney.

You should consider hiring an immigration attorney if your case involves:

  • Removal (deportation) proceedings requiring legal representation
  • Criminal convictions that may affect immigration status
  • Complex legal issues
  • Appeals
  • Federal court litigation
  • Situations requiring legal advice or legal strategy

If your case falls outside the services I can legally provide, I will let you know and help connect you with an attorney who may be able to assist.

Do you guarantee approval?

No.

No one can honestly guarantee that USCIS, the Immigration Court, or any government agency will approve an application.

What I can promise is that I will carefully prepare your paperwork, help organize your supporting documents, and work with you to submit a complete and professional application.

Ultimately, every decision is made by the government agency reviewing your case.

Do you speak Spanish?

Yes.

I proudly offer services in both English and Spanish and have worked with Spanish-speaking immigrants for many years.

If you feel more comfortable communicating in Spanish, I'm happy to assist you in your preferred language.

Can you help if I already filed my application?

Often, yes.

Many clients come to me after filing on their own and realize they need assistance organizing documents, responding to a Request for Evidence (RFE), correcting paperwork, or preparing additional forms.

We'll first review where your case stands and discuss what assistance I can legally provide.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Every case is different, but it's generally helpful to bring:

  • Government-issued identification
  • Passport
  • Immigration documents
  • Notices from USCIS or Immigration Court
  • Marriage or birth certificates (if applicable)
  • Police reports or court documents (if applicable)
  • Any previous immigration filings
  • Any questions you'd like answered during your appointment

If additional documents are needed, I'll provide you with a checklist after our meeting.

How much do your services cost?

Fees vary depending on the type of service requested and the complexity of your case.

Some services are offered at a flat fee, while others are billed $100.00 per hour.

Before any work begins, you'll receive a clear explanation of the expected fees so you know exactly what to expect.

Can you help people outside California?

Yes.

Many immigration forms and applications can be prepared remotely, allowing me to assist clients throughout the United States. Zoom and Whatsapp Video consultations are available.

Some services may require working with local agencies or courts, so availability depends on the type of case.
